Owned and operated by Atlanta’s homegrown, home-town committed hospitality group, Fifth Group Restaurants, La Tavola is a true favorite with locals and regulars. In fact, its spaghetti and veal meatballs were named one of the “101 Dishes To Eat In Atlanta Before You Die,” its brunch was deemed best in the city, and it is consistently rated one of the top 50 restaurants by Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The restaurant serves dinner nightly and Sunday brunch, as well as an extensive and adventurous wine list. Conveniently located in the heart of the Virginia-Highland neighborhood, it’s perfect for a quick bite before spending the day or night enjoying a show or attending a festival at Piedmont Park or dinner before hitting the town (or brunch the Sunday morning after).

Brian Moll

After joining the Fifth Group Restaurants family in 2010, Brian Moll continues his six year tenure with the esteemed restaurant group as executive chef at La Tavola Trattoria. Moll’s dynamic culinary talents, irrefutable leadership skills and passion for Italian culture and cuisine make him the optimal fit for helming the kitchen at the Virginia-Highland neighborhood favorite.

A native of Doylestown, Pa., Moll attended Pennsylvania State University, where he earned a degree in nutritional sciences, and went on to graduate from Le Cordon Bleu with a certificate in culinary arts. From there, he relocated to Atlanta, accepted a line cook position at La Tavola and became a driving force behind La Tavola’s renowned house made pasta program. Today, Moll strives daily to challenge himself and his team to continue learning, further enhance the restaurant’s menu and foster meaningful relationships with each guest.

When he’s not in the kitchen, Moll cultivates his passion for sustainability through the maintenance of a 400-gallon, in-home aquaponic gardening system that provides fresh greens and herbs throughout the year. Moll also enjoys traveling and exploring new cuisines at each destination. He currently resides in Atlanta with his wife Mallory and their dog Ella.
